BCAB Short Course

BCAB are presenting a short course on Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) systems on 10th May. BCAB members with extensive experience of GPS systems will review satellite navigation systems for both notetakers and mobile phones.

The aim of the course is to provide a practical, real life and sales free introduction to the different GPS options available to blind and partially sighted people. The course is open to BCAB members and non-members, with places costing from just £10. Please visit the BCAB Short Courses page to find out more and book a place online.

New Benefit for BCAB Members

BCAB have introduced a new benefit for members. EASI are an American company that produce online training seminars, known as webinars, specifically intended to be accessible to people with disabilities. Topics include mobile phones, blogs and common applications such as Microsoft Outlook.

Some webinars are presented over the course of several weeks, whilst others are one off events. Costs can range up to $190, but as a BCAB member, many courses carry a 20% discount, whilst others are completely free.
