BCAB Membership
If any of the following apply, then BCAB membership could really benefit you:
- You are blind or partially sighted and interested in computing or information communication technologies.
- You want specialised training for your work, education or leisure, or so that you can use your computer more effectively.
- you feel You need to know more about the Internet, CD-ROMS, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) or selecting equipment and software.
Even if you are not visually impaired, but are interested in supporting or developing the use of computers and ICT by visually impaired people, you will find joining BCAB of value.
Full membership
Full membership costs £21 per year and is open to all visually impaired people. Benefits include:
- Regular Members' CDs, packed full of news, events, information and audio articles.
- Quarterly newsletters keeping you up to date with BCAB news and events.
- Lively discussions on our friendly mailing list.
- Help and support for computer or access technology related questions.
- Annual seminar including a keynote presentation on exciting topics relating to VI computer users.
- Access to EASI online training.
- Discounts on BCAB training courses.
To join BCAB as a full member or renew your existing subscription, please use the Get Full Membership button below to pay online. If you prefer to pay by cheque, please send an email to treasurer@bcab.org.uk, indicating the type of membership you would like to take out.
Associate membership
Associate membership costs £10.50 per year and is open to students, people who are out of work or those with an interest in access technology for visually impaired people. Benefits include:
- Regular Members' CDs, packed full of news, events, information and audio articles.
- Quarterly newsletters keeping you up to date with BCAB news and events.
- Lively discussions on our friendly mailing list.
- Help and support for computer or access technology related questions.
- Annual seminar including a keynote presentation on exciting topics relating to VI computer users.
- Access to EASI online training.
- Discounts on BCAB training courses.
To join BCAB as an Associate member or renew your existing subscription, please use the Get Associate Membership button below to pay online. If you prefer to pay by cheque, send an email to treasurer@bcab.org.uk, indicating the type of membership you would like to take out.
Commercial membership
Commercial membership costs £105 per year and is open to companies who operate within fields relating to access technology, computing or visual impairment. Benefits include:
- Regular Members' CDs, packed full of news, events, information and audio articles.
- Quarterly newsletters keeping you up to date with BCAB news and events.
- Space on the members' CD to provide information on products and services.
- Space on the BCAB website to provide contact details and information about upcoming events and offers.

Community membership
Community membership costs £50 per year and is open to organisations operating within the public and charitable sectors. Benefits include:

- Quarterly newsletters keeping you up to date with BCAB news and events.
- Space on the members' CD to provide information on products and services.
- Space on the BCAB website to provide contact details and information about upcoming events and offers.
