iZoom
iZoom is a Windows screen magnification programme with speech from Issist. It lets you choose between 8 different magnification views, and supports up to 36x magnification. You can manipulate colours, adjust the appearance of the mouse cursor, and use smart alignment to prevent horizontal scrolling.
With iZoom you can choose to listen to information under the mouse pointer, or read whole documents. It can read on screen events such as message boxes and tooltips, and you can adjust the voice settings for volume and speed.
Lunar Plus
LunarPlus is a Windows screen magnification programme with speech from Dolphin. It lets you choose between 7 different magnifier views, and supports up to 60x magnification. You can choose from 23 preset colour schemes or choose your own, and you can also increase the size of the mouse pointer.
LunarPlus comes with a choice of voices, which can be adjusted for volume and speed. You can listen to information under the mouse pointer, or to entire documents. It also lets you choose between character and word typing echo.
Magic With Speech
Magic With Speech is a Windows magnification programme with speech from Freedom Scientific, sold by Sight & Sound in the UK. It has several adjustable views, and supports up to 16x magnification. You can apply different visual enhancements to magnified text and graphics, and change the appearance of the mouse cursor.
Magic With Speech lets you change the speed, pitch, volume and verbosity of the voices. You can read by word, line or paragraph, or listen to information under the mouse pointer.
ZoomText Magnifier Reader
ZoomText Magnifier Reader is a Windows screen magnification programme with speech from AI Squared, and sold by Sight & Sound in the UK. It lets you choose between 8 different zoom windows, and supports up to 36x magnification. You can choose between two different colour modes, apply colour dyes, and adjust the appearance of the mouse cursor.
ZoomText Magnifier Reader automatically speaks menus, dialogues, list views and messages. It has multiple voices and two verbosity levels to choose from. You can turn on typing and mouse echo, and navigate through text by listening to characters or words.
