TalkBack screen reader

TalkBack is the built-in screen reader that comes with Android devices like the Nexus4, Nexus5 and Nexus7. It speaks on-screen information using a synthetic voice, and can also be used with an (optional) braille display.

TalkBack was introduced in Android 1.5 (Cupcake), and it's available in all later versions of Google Android. It works with many popular apps, but Android is often adapted by the device manufacturer and so quality can vary.
