Windows magnifier

Magnifier is a basic magnification programme that comes with Windows computers. It enhances everything that's on-screen, and makes it easier to see.

Magnifier was introduced in Windows XP, and it's available in all later versions of Windows. It works with popular applications like the Microsoft Office suite, and browsers like Internet Explorer.

Magnifier has up to 20x magnification, and three magnification modes. It supports colour inversion, and in Windows 8 it works with high contrast colour schemes.
